ICE Workbench Update Site
This is an update site for ICE Workbench. If you do not already have ICE Workbench installed on your computer then you will find links to download it in the 'Install ICE Workbench' section together with basic instructions on how to install.
Configuring this update site within ICE Workbench will allow over-the-air updating within the application. If do you already have ICE Workbench installed on your computer then you can follow the instructions in the 'Setting up the Update Site' section.
Install ICE Workbench
Below are links for the 32bit and 64bit variants of ICE Workbench for Windows operating systems. You should click on the link for the version of ICE Workbench which is most appropriate for your computer. On a Windows computer you can run the command 'java -version' from the command prompt. The resulting output will contain '64-bit' if you are running the 64 bit version of Java. If this is the case you will require the 64 bit version of ICE Workbench.
Once you have downloaded the linked file you simply need to extract it (it is a .zip archive) to a location on your computer's hard drive you will remember and then run the ICE_Workbench.exe file.
Setting up the Update Site
It is quite simple to configure the Update Site within ICE Workbench. The 'Window' menu will contain an option labelled 'Preferences'. If you select this option the main preferences dialog will be displayed. There are three main groups of preferences in the left-hand list box on this dialog. The last of them, titled 'Install/Update' can be expanded. If you expand it you will see additional options titled 'Automatic Updates' and 'Available Update Sites' as shown in the image below:

If you select the 'Available Update Sites' option you will then see the preferences pane shown in the image below. This will list all of the Update Sites which have been configured for use within ICE Workbench. If there are any options shown in this list then select them, and click 'Remove' to remove (accepting any warnings which are shown). Once the list is empty you then need to click the 'Add...' button which is highlighted in the image.

Once you have clicked this button a small dialog will be displayed on the screen with two text boxes which need to be filled as shown in the image below. The first text box, 'Name', is simply asking for a name that will be used for this Update Site and can be anything you choose. The second text box, 'Location', is asking for the URL of the Update Site. That can be found by copying the URL from this page and pasting it into the text box. Once you have filled both text boxes you may click 'OK' to save the changes.

Once you have completed this step you now have a configured Update Site. When you start ICE Workbench up it will check whether there is a newer version available on the Update Site and if there is you will be notified and given the opportinuty to update. There is also an option labelled 'Check for Updates' in the 'Window' menu which will prompt ICE Workbench to perform an unscheduled check for updates, once again notifying you if any are available to install.
